tours and began collaboration with a number of prominent composers in Britain in Canada, including John McCabe, CBE, Lorna Paterson, Susan Wollenberg and Robert Turner. Kathryn studied singing under Cornelius Reid in New York and Emma Kirkby in London before beginning work with her principal teacher, Susan McCulloch, professor of singing at Guildhall and at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. Kathryn has studied in masterclasses under many accomplished musicians, including Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Stuart Hamilton, Timothy Vernon, Robin Bowman, Lillian Watson, Peter Barcza, Rudolf Jansen and Elly Ameling.
Kathryn is the recipient of many awards and scholarships, including those from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Arts Council of England, the Ralph Vaughan Williams Trust, the PRS Foundation for New Music, the University of Oxford
