developed and ran a Sunday Afternoon Concert Series, the proceeds of which supported Wolfson's official charity, AMREF.
To mark Kathryn's tenure as Creative Arts Fellow, Wolfson commissioned a new piece for her by British composer John McCabe, CBE. Funding for the commission was provided by the Wolfson Arts Fund, with additional generous grants from the Arts Council of England, the Ralph Vaughan Williams Trust and the PRS Foundation for New Music.
The piece, "Heloise to Abelard", is a 20-minute scena to a text by John McCabe based on letters from Heloise to the monk and scholar, her lover Peter Abelard. Published in 2005 by Novello & Co., Heloise to Abelard received its public premiere at Kathryn's 'farewell' concert as Creative Arts Fellow in June, 2005.
