An experienced solo concert artist, known for interesting programmes and her friendly and engaging stage presence, Kathryn Whitney hugely enjoys recital touring, appearing regularly in recital at major venues in both Britain and Canada such as the Holywell Music Room, the Ralston Recital Hall, St John's Smith Square and for the Regina Musical Club. With pianist Charlotte Hale, she has won competitive mainstage showcases at both Pacific Contact (2007) in Vancouver and the Saskatchewan Showcase of the Arts (2005).

Committed to promoting classical music, and especially the song repertoire, to a broad audience, Kathryn has also developed and performed a number of rural recital touring projects in both Britain and Canada, winning support from the National Rural Touring Forum of Britain, the BC Arts Council, the BC Touring Council, the Organisation of Saskatchewan Arts Councils, and the Canada Council for her work in this area.
