An experienced solo artist known for her imaginative interpretation of the song repertoire, Kathryn Whitney especially enjoys recital touring, winning support from the Canada Council, the English Rural Touring Council, the BC Arts Council, the BC Touring Council and the Organisation of Saskatchewan Arts Councils for her work in this area.

In Britain, she has performed for numerous series and musical clubs, including the Iffley Music Society, the Platnauer Series, the Balliol Music Society, the Royal Academy of Music and at London's historic St John's Smith Square. In Canada, she has sung for many series, including Christ Church Cathedral in Vancouver, the Phillip T Young Recital Hall in Victoria and the Ralston Recital Hall in Banff.
